My wife and I are very interested in purchasing a new Sat Nav system that we can share as we both run a Ford focus.
We realise that we will need one that will cope with a heated front windscreen and can be easily moved from car to car.
We have seen the new Tom Tom one advertised and wonder if anyone has any thoughts about that one or suggestions for a better one.
Best wishes -- Tony Hunter.

Thanks Ian your response was very much appreciated. I think Tom Tom is probably the way to go.
Happy New Year -- Tony.
Another delighted TOM TO GO 300 user here. Cracking bit of kit and dead easy to move between cars, (or even to walk around with).
hi tony another tom tom go 300 user here get a 300 there great and now even cheaper i have seen them for 220 at pc world its so easy me and the girl friend share ours and you only need one docking station as for the heated front screen my car as one as well and its never interfered with it or vice versa

Thanks Cartie 303 I wondered about heated windscreen problems.

Thanks to all who have responded.-Tony H

All you need to do with a heated front windscreen is to buy an external sensor which is much better than the included built in. Most of these external sensors are wireless, and so provides the user with a better GPS reception with the added benefits that they do not cost a lot. I have a Land Rover Defender, for which I had the same problem, (when I bought an external sensor, this cured the problem)

Hope this helps.

Hi, may I recommend you to buy the Acer N35. With this product you do not only get a GPS system, you will also get a good realiable pda. PDA is basically a handheld computer, it will have most of the programs you will have on a PC. The acer N35 uses a GPS program called the destinator, which i think is better than the Tom tom system, however, if you wish to use Tom tom rather than destinator, you can install tom tom onto the acer n35 use that rather than destinator. I have been informed that you could download it. Nevertheless please visit this website for more information on GPS devices and programs. www.pocketgpsworld.com

The acer n35 is about 180 to 200.
