I don't really know what you mean by 'google in firefox'.
You have opened your browser, Firefox. Do you mean you search for and open Google and that page comes up dark?
Or the Firefox 'new tab' page is dark?

I have got 3 browsers( im sure thats what theyre called) they are google chrome, firefox and microsoft edge. Until this dark screen palaver with firefox when i open google, it was the best of the 3.
i hope thats cleared it up.
Sorry, piggy, I'm not ignoring you, I've been thinking about your last post and I'm sorry to say that I still don't understand.

I understand that Firefox is your browser and it has been working as it should.
It's the 'open google' bit I don't understand.

I can't make it any simpler.
I got a message on Google (chrome) afew days ago offering the option to have a dark screen. I didnt click on it, maybe you did in erro
Google has a dark theme which you can toggle in the top right. Click on the Settings icon (cog).
Piggy, do you mean the Google home page, a new Firefox tab, the webpage that opens when you have done a Google search in Firefox, or maybe GMail?
Bottom right of my Google page (on chrome tho not Firefox) has a Customise Chrome icon and clicking that gives the option of a dark screen and that can then be change back
