Yes, I am. It drives my husband nuts. I just can't seem to throw anything away and it's something I really dislike about myself.

I have a friend like that Rocky, she’s even kept the HP card she got for her furniture in1964! Beat that
Blimey. Can't beat that as I wasn't born then :0)
I'm not a hoarder like the ones you see on the TV, but I do keep things for sentimental reasons. I can't throw out anything that belonged to my parents and I still have all the cards my daughters have sent me as well as some other special cards. Also, I have lots of different light bulbs and screws, just in case.
We seem to have inherited stuff from both sides of the family. Many years ago we went to MIL's house and she was have a 'sideation', her word for a clear out. She was about to chuck loads of stuff from her family, Christmas cards from the Somme, birth, marriage certificates going back years, so we stuck it all in our boot. I need to go through it all and have my own sideation.

And she has two beaver lamb coats up in the loft, several 78s records and she’s as tight as a fishes you know what as well,:0))))
Friend asked if I have a player for her 78 records - who keeps them :(
I've got from a much older cousin a load of Glen Miller 78s and autograph books, he was doing the most amazing things back in the 40s and 50s.

Ohhh you’ve caught me , I have my grandsons very tiny first nappy when he was born 14 weeks premature and all my special cards like the one he wrote when he was 5 “ to the beast grandma in the world” I’m sure he meant best :0(

I reckon those 78s will be worth a Bob or two
Dad owned a 78 signed by Gracie Fields that bruv has in Aussie - he tried selling in $ sale but no takers
Sort of in some respects.
I'm like Barsel. But I live with one! (Not like those hoarders you see on the tele though.). He's a great do it yourselfer and hoards loads in our huge garage or our so called study. We both hoard books.
I have loads of 78 RPM vinyl records, a lot of them from Readers Digest . The Carpenters collection , Cliff Richard, Hits of the 60's and 70's and many more That are kept in a record case. Do I ever play them? No!
Apc, I would love to have a garage.
To me, there is nothing worse than minimalist. And I don't do modern. A lot of our furniture came from exploring junk shops over the last 50 years.
I used to keep boxes for 'just in case' of returns or anything else. My new house has got a much bigger loft with shelving and skylight so can store my boxes in there. Or until I get my cats ;o)
Barsel, it's a huge wooden barn thin and full of junk. I won't go in it in case something falls on me. It also got lots of old furniture and stuff and various machinery
This is my weakness, under my stairs

Not excessive but I have a couple of cupboards with stuff in that I haven't even opened for a couple of years. Probably should just chuck it all out but, you never know, it might come in useful!

PS. I need to empty one of them when they come to change my water meter so the tip beckons.
I've hoarded a Technics stereo and a Canon camera from my teenage days...and that's it.
I tend to give stuff away.
