Why is my laptop on a mega go-slow? I have tried getting rid of unwanted files and programmes but its not making any difference. It seemed to get worse after downloading Limewire file sharing. Any ideas?

what spec is your laptop?

limewire uses java, which is generally slow. are you running it all the time? if so, it probably would slow it a bit.

I would recomend uninstalling limewire and doing several virus/antyspy scans. If all else fails, go find your windows system restore disc and boot it up (make sure you've backed up all of your data though)
