File Conversion Software

Any fast and free file conversion software out there to convert .wmv files to something a bit more usable. Using mini tool at the minute but is taking 2 hrs for a 4gb file.

However 4 GB is a lot of data, with the conversion time being limited by the speed of your computer's processor and the amount of RAM available to it, so you shouldn't expect any software to be able to do the job quickly.

So it's not really the converter that the problem is - old computer is a 2.8ghz dual core with 4 gig ram. New one is 3.5ghz with 4 cores and 16gig ram - shaves about half an hour off it. Just don't want the editing software on new desktop.
