I have BBC iPlayer app on my phone 68.2mb - however documents and data weigh in at 6.02 GB - what is this and how can I get rid of them

In which case you could simply delete & reload the app if you have nothing stored. I have to do the same with Facebook every now and again as the usage creeps up.

Those are programmes you have downloaded in the app (usually), you can delete them from within iPlayer
'Documents and data' usually consists of file which are stored within specific apps, so you need to take a look at each of your apps to see what's taking up most of the space:

@Fitzer - have had a look and cannot find any programmes that i have downloaded - as it goes I usually delete after watching - or have I missed something here?
