Hi,
Long story short, my PC won't boot up, Windows 10. Got into BIOS ( button) & boot options #1 & #2 seem to be disabled. Have tried all sorts of keys but can't change it. Anyone ?
Thanks

As you switch on the computer, you should briefly see an instruction (usually at the top of the blank screen, perhaps on the right). It simply tells you the key to press - it could be F10, F12, Esc. or another depending on the manufacturer of your machine. Press the indicated key repeatedly until the boot menu/options are shown. If you miss it and the computer moves on to booting up then simply switch the thing off and start again. Once the boot menu is up, that is fixed and you can take your time and work your way through.
Normally you scroll down to it and my memory won't let me recall properly but I think the arrow keys allow you to go through the options. Or try CR/LF. If you still have no joy, are you sure that you have something you can boot from, connected to the PC ?
The only keys that work within the BIOS settings on most computers are the arrow keys (up, down, left and right), Page Up, Page Down, Enter and Esc.

Was the Delete button to get to BIOS (I knew that much) but no keys appeared to work to change the boot options. Turned out when I double clicked them, 3 options came up but they weren't obvious as 3 individual options, looked like it was just one *doh*

Sorted now, thanks.
I'm amazed that double clicking did anything in the BIOS, as the mouse driver isn't usually enabled when you're in the BIOS. (That's because the mouse driver is usually the one provided by Windows, which you've not loaded at that stage).

At least you got it sorted out anyway!

I now need to reinstall Windows from a usb stick. I have *no* boot options now. How do I get it to boot from the usb ?
Same as before. Go into your BIOS and there should be a `boot order` option. This can be set to PC, DVD or USB. Select which option you want and move it to the top of the list. Save your settings and then reboot. Try using the PC option first just in case you disturbed something last time.

There are no boot options in BIOS now, Blubster, that's the problem :(

In BIOS all I've got is
Bootup Numlock On
Security Option System
Full Screen LOGO Show Enabled
Fast Boot Disabled
CSM Support Enabled
LAN PXE Boot Option ROM Disabled
Storage Boot Option Control Legacy Only
Other PCI Device ROM Priority UEFI Only
Network Stack Disabled

Found a Boot Sequence page, saw Window Boot Manager, when I click on it it says No Bootable Device Found (usb stick was plugged in).
