Download from Limewire

Was round a friends last night who has just purchased an MP3 (GOODMANS 512) he has tried downloading from Limewire direct to the new MP3 and gets message saying something on the lines of "needs license", can somebody enlighten me on this please? also how come he can download to windows media player also direct to CD disc from Limewire but not direct from Limewire to the new MP3 . I must confess that I am looking at buying an MP3 player but not if it comes with problems. Many Thanks

try dl'ing to pc then copying to mp3.

i have an mp3 player and dl music and install it on the player with no probs.

Can he download exactly the same files to his PC and play them? If not, he's probably downloaded tracks protected by DRM (Digital Rights Management). He'll either have to find alternative files or go to a legitimate d/l source and pay.
