Radio frequencies

This seemed the best place to post this - it's a two fold question...

1. I have a small multi band radio, with SW and LW - where is the best place to find a list of frequencies from the UK - I want to tune into Finnish and French radio, amongst others.

2. The aerial has been snapped in 2 - will I get a better reception if I try and repair it - ie stick a metal coat hanger in it!!

Sorry to sound a bit stupid, but I am a novice at all this radio lark
