paypal question

Someone who has won something off me on ebay has said, they will have to pay me direct to my email address because her paypal is acting up. Can someone explain what this person means? Surley you still need paypal to do this right?

That sounds a bit weird, you can't "pay to an e-mail address", paypal is a virtual banking service, e-mail is not. I wonder what she means by it's acting up - that sounds ominous.


I think you should just ask for a cheque or the cash through registered post.

yeah i think i will, thanks. It has taken me over a week just to get a reply from this person.

if this alsylam, whitevanman or f1 pitstop (they are all the same person) avoid at all costs!!! - I had problems with this person and even ebay advised me to avoid them. I offered to wait until the problems were fixed, but after weeks of no contact they reported me to ebay... after an investigation I was advised not to complete the transaction, and unpaid strikes were removed.


I had paid immediately, they said I had to cancel the payment and try again through a different paypal account, but i couldn't because it would just say I had not won the item...they then asked for cash...! AVOID


If not, tell ebay you are suspicious, they will deal with it
