Currently on Virgin Media 100mb super fibre broadband , full tv package + landline (which do not use but have no choice to pay for !)
Thinking of changing provider to reduce the cost .
My only concern is nowhere else can provide broadband anywhere near that speed ... but not sure if i really need it ?
We have four mobile phones using wifi , one xbox live and two laptops .
Only browse the internet and watch youtube, never download or stream films or music.
Anybody have similar to that on slower broadband with no issues ?
Thanks in advance

>>> I can get BT broadband at 67mb , but would i notice a difference with all the devices we use ? The nominal minimum speed for one user streaming services like Youtube, BBC iPlayer, etc is 2 Mbps. I'd be amazed if you'd notice any difference at all if you dropped to a speed of, say, 30 Mbps. I live alone and the 9 Mbps that I typically get with an ADSL2+ connection is perfectly adequate for my own needs, such as web-browsing while streaming Now TV at the same time. I wouldn't benefit to any real extent by moving to a higher speed.
Before jumping in to a new provider have you tried haggling with Virgin? They always give me a great discount when I threaten to leave because of the price. You don't have to have the landline when you get your broadband from Virgin but it is usually cheaper to have it than not. (I know, it's bonkers)

What sort of speeds can other providers offer? Check before you jump, also get armed with the offers for the haggling with Virgin.
Virgin are a bit like Apple - annoyingly good. I sometimes contemplate shifting to PCs etc., but....
