Cant Assign Ringtones To Individual Contacts Samsung J3 (2017)

There is no view more or other fields on contact details to change ringtone.
I have changed phone from easy to standard mode but it doesn't make any difference.
Any help appreciated please.

It should be woithin the edit on the contact. Select the edit (pencil) and there shoud be a ringtone option

Tried that just allows you to edit name and number, nothing else :(

According to the manual it should be in 'edit' https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00047587/ however it does say that some settings are carrier dependent

go into the contacts (i'm doing this on my s7, assuming its the same)
select your contact,
then details,
then edit (top left on mine),
scroll down to the bottom where it says "view more" (bottom left) scroll down till you see assign ring tone, (it's at the end on mine)

Thanks for your answers so far, if its carrier dependant then i'm with Virgin, anyone else with them experience this problem on samsung devices

I'm with virgin and its working fine for me, my mum now has the starwars theme....

the view more is quite small, are you sure you're not missing it?

i'm in standard mode, so contacts, select contact, details which is an i in a circle, edit.
all i have on screen is cancel save sim card contact name phone phone number, nothing else, completely blank below, no symbols and cant scroll down.

No, none of the other options apart from name and number , no plus and minuses - business cards etc no view more option either

Have you tried saving the basic and then editing it?

Also, I wonder if it might be because you are saving to the SIM, these have only limited memory so might be restricted

Just go to contacts, press 3 lines ,scroll to manage contacts ,click import contacts, from sim to phone.then when you exit and go back to contacts more will show when selecting edit in preferred contact.
