Today I felt very queasy after seeing a young man with a tunnel in his cheek. His face, his choice but it turned my stomach.

Any trends give you the shudders?

I don't like the tunnels, they don't turn my stomach though - I have a strong constitution.
Google Joel Miggler, I'd rather not link.

Yes, hc, any kind of self-scarring or those earrings that sit in the ear and then larger and larger ones are put in. Watched part of a programme a while back about people who've had these and similar thing. done to them, but I just couldn't stomach it. When you see what ears look like when those large earrings are taken out, you wonder how on earth someone could think it attractive.
And I think the latest trend for neck and hand tattoos is a huge turn-off.

don't they realise they will regret it when the trend has run its course/passed
Self harm becomes something society is content to let folk get on with, rather than help them, when it starts to accept self mutilation as being an art form. It's a slippery slope back to primitive behaviour.
I used to see this lady a lot in Edinburgh. Haven't seen her for a while
