But what are these mobile phones that one "speaks" into them is in Google speak. Ask a question and it answers it for you.

What phones are they and how much would they be - also could you get them in 02 - like pay as you go. Thanks

Are you referring to Siri, if so it's an Apple product I believe.
Siri...she can be quite funny :-)

iphones...and you can get them on PAYG if you buy the handset.
I have a Samsung Note and if I google anything I can speak and it says the answer back
I have that on my Samsung (Android phone). It`s probably available on most smartphones.
Most of the smartphones either have the facility or you can download an app to get the facility. Does not matter if it is Apple, Android or Windows phone.
ummmm my siri is a bloke :)
Siri's voice reminds me of my math's teacher, Miss Havenny, whom I had a major crush on at High School......finally plucked up courage to ask her out on a date at school reunion a few years later.
Every smartphone has that facility and you can get them 02, pay as you go

and how much are they - thanks
Question Author
thanks hc for that link but I know nothing about mobiles - it is for a friend - which one of those can you "talk" into it ie ask questions and get answers.
Can I change Siri's voice to a male? And can I change her name too?

I feel like Raj from Big Bang....
Jenny, all of them except the cheapest three
Perhaps jj is referring to Google's new Pixel smartphone (launched today) which has a voice-controlled personal assistant and allows users to "talk" to the internet, rather than using keyboards and touchscreens?
ginge, all smartphones can do that. My not so new LG Android can
Pretty much any modern phone can do that - if your google search window has a mike icon at the right just tap it and speak clearly.
I need one that can answer questions like 'where did I leave my car keys' or 'where did I put my glasses'.
Yes, I do know that....I thought that jj's question was too much of a coincidence to have been asked today when Google launch Pixel.

Oh no not a coincidence - just meandering over all phones.

Two last questions -

Do they "video" and also do you need to have WiFi in your home . This friend does not have WiFi in home.
