Stupid Itunes Changes

I avoid updating my iTunes but for some reason it seems to have changed anyway, and now I don't know how to use it. I want to be able to list all the songs I have in a long list, like I used to be able to do under "Music" to search for things. I have to have it set to "Playlists" in order to see the music I need/burn CDs etc. Also if I go to Store-Home in order to buy a song, I can't get back to the page with my Playlists. I have to close it down and start from scratch. Any ideas gratefully received!
