Change Over Number From O2 - Giffgaff. Problem

i changed my o2 number to giffgaff, today is my changeover day. so today i switched phone on and i tried make a call to a friend , it says ( not registered on network ) so i took the o2 sim out and inserted the new giffgaff sim into phone.

that was 4 hrs ago. now the new giffgaff sim is still saying ( not registered on network) and my new number still not changed over.

Dieseldick, I am with giffgaff and had no problem swopping my numbers over. I believe they have a forum page where problems are discussed.
I know the changeover takes a good 4/5 days. Keep trying today and take a look at that forum.

i was told on forums it is a few hours.....4-5 days ? i could be left with no phone for 4-5 days ? im expecting important calls from emplyers.

i should of made my change over date on sunday...im stupid.... grrrrr !!!
My son did exactly that and it took 3 days for the transfer.
Here is some help......Give it some time up to 24 hours keep restarting the phone every 30 minutes or so.

If your number has not been transferred by 24 hours and the day after the scheduled date, you can contact an agent about it:
