Should read the other one plays fine
Can you not look for a new version, maybe in a more modern format?
Try a 'rewind to start>fast forward to end>rewind to start' a few times

I have tried your suggestions. No luck so far. It's only available on tape or vinyl. You can't unscrew this tape but I will have to try to transfer it to another tape.
Have you tried YouTube? There's ways of downloading stuff from there.
One reason one should copy your old cassette tapes to disk as backup.

No real suggestions to make save to advice not to try to oil/grease the spindles. Many years back I tried that with a tape I had which kept sticking. It did not go well.
It does occur top me that even if your cassette was not designed to be opened, running a blade carefully around the edge seam should allow you to break it open. It may be then possible to buy a cassette that has screws and transfer the tape over to it ? Not that I've ever tried it.

Or buy it again. Maybe on vinyl ?
