I have lots of music saved onto my windows media player and normally it is easy to put them onto my napa MP3 player. I have tried to save some new music from media player to mp3 player tonight. The names of the songs have saved onto the mp3 player but they don't play. I can't hear them and the timing is off on the display screen i.e. the timing jumps from 0:00 straight to 0:30 without playing. Does any-one have any idea's? PLEASE HELP!

Have you upgraded Windows Media Player recently? Have you altered the Digital Rights Management settings. Are they saved as mp3 or as wma format?

I upgraded to media player 10 but my mp3 wouldn't work on media player 9 either (which I used previously and it worked).  The files are saving to the mp3 as wma format files. Any idea?

My brother had installed Neromix onto the PC and I thought that might be causing the problem so I deleted it.  Do you think this could be the problem?
Some mp3 players will not play protected wma files. The protection needs to be turned off. personally, I would record as mp3 unless space is a problem. Not sure about neromix interfering. Usually the problem is with Digital Rights Management.

Do you know how I could fix this problem?  The media player is buring files onto CD's OK but won't save to mp3.  I checked and the files are protected.

Try this:-

Tools

Options

Rip Music

now unclick the Copy Protect Music box

Wasn't thinking! Are you just trying to put Cd tracks onto mp3? If so, hunt down the free, easy to use program CDEX.
iTunes will also do what you want.

as well as Winamp.

both far better than windows media player

I will try using CDEX and using the other sites.  Cheers for your help,

Bronagh
