.rem Photos Saved On My Pc

I have a number of photos on my PC that were taken when I had a Blackberry (REM files), and I would like to be able to open and save them as jpg files.

I know that there are sites which will convert them, but I'm dubious as to whether they are safe, and most of them want you to subscribe. I don't want to do that as it is a one off of about 20 pictures.

Has anyone got a way that I can get the pictures back without the use of someone's Blackberry?

Have you tried opening them in different programmes to see?

Thanks Ratter15. But both ways still indicate that I need my Backberry, which I no longer have as it was a works phone and they upgraded it to a completely different phone.
