what is the shlwapi.dll file?

When I use the internet Explorer or Kazaa always get the same problem 'the file has make an error of non valid page in the shlwapi.dll file'. What can I do and because happens this? What is the shlwapi.dll file? Thank you

This file is a key part of Internet Explorer. Most probably it or a related file is corrupted. Worth trying to repair your IE installation. To do this go to control panel/add remove prog and select IE. This should then give you a repair option to choose. If still no go then use the windows (assuming you have windows) system file checker to check for other corrupted files. If still no go then you could try installing IE over your existing version - preferably a newer version eg IE6.
