in fact, whatever you use a computer for, plus the advantages linked to being mobile.

WhatsApp is free.
It's free to use on Wifi
When connected via the phone's data connection, it will cost whatever your provider charges for data (i.e anything from free to really expensive, depending on your contract and where you are).

It's only useful if people you want to connect to also have it.
If I am tempted to make a big purchase when I'm out shopping I use my smartphone to check the prices elsewhere and read reviews.

I've got good deals doing that, even buying foreign currency.

You always have a camera in your pocket, great for car accidents as well as the good things in life.
Twitter is great when you are stuck in traffic for traffic updates.
You always have a map if you get lost.
You've got an alarm clock in your pocket.
Also a calculator for currency conversions.
You'll always know the time and date.

Get the sky cricket app and you can keep track of the Ashes scores when out and about.
Ditto the ATP/WTA app for tennis scores.
I've thought about whatsApp, but then it scares me by telling me all the changes it can do to my phone!
Goofy, I use Whassup all the time, family groups, friends and business. I highly recommend it, and it hasn't done anything to my phone. As long as you are co nected to wifi, you can make free phone calls too, worldwide and very good quality.
my sister keeps on telling me to get it, and I guess her phone hasnt died yet!
Maybe I'll go for it.
Piggynose, WhatsApp is free for one year.
Then, if you choose to continue with it, it will cost you around 70 pence (I think) per year.
I use it for texting and sending photos.
All free.
It is a very good app to have.
