they seem to be the "in thing" now, I don't get condensation on my windows and have a window cleaner to do the outsides, but I have horrible water splash marks on my folding shower screen which wont come off with normal cleaner, should I invest in one or will it be like most other gadgets tossed aside in six months ? also Argos has one @ £14.99 and the other £59.99 can someone tell me the difference between the two please ? and do I really need one !

A friend has one of these and swears by it. He bought a cheapie and it seems to do the job 100%. Good luck Dee. Those water marks are VERY hard, nay impossible, to shift otherwise.
I bought the cheaper version of Karcher (the one without the spray bottle) when it was on offer in Currys and have to say I'm thrilled. It really is so quick on windows and the shower screen but all it does is suck the water off and leave it dry and smear free it doesn't actually clean - you still have to put the cleaner on first.

thank you ladies, will buy the cheaper one that will be okay for me and if anyone knows how I can manually get those water splash marks off the shower screen, pls pls enlighten me ? I thought maybe a brillo pad ? ordinary window cleaner just doesn't work.
I can't comment on the window vacs as I don't have one and personally I wouldn't spend my money on one.
I have a small, 6" wide, silicone blade which I use on windows and shower screens, takes no time at all for a quick whizz over and leaves them sparkling. It cost me 99p.
I use a limescale remover type of cleaner on the shower screens and find it brings all the water marks off.
I use a limescale remover and a squeezey to wipe it off seems to work
I have a window vac and wouldn't be without it now. I used to have a squeegee that I wiped the water off with but the vac does a far better job. I have looked at the argos site and think the cheap one you mention might actually just be a replacement blade for the Karcher. I use mine when I clean windows, mirrors the shower screen and tiles and it leaves everything smears free. To get the water marks off I think you'll need something like viakal.
I'd save your money and invest in some of that spray (the name escapes me) that you spray on and leave on as soon as you have finished your shower, while the screen is still wet
Think mrs O means a shower shine spray, aldi do one that smells really fresh
thanks rebecca - I was having a blonde moment then
White vinegar is good for getting rid is scale. I use it on my shower door and shower head ( put the s head in a titledbowl of vinegar) I use a squeegee to dry the door of then shower spray.
Dee Sa....just to point out...The £14.99 item in Argos is NOT a Window-Vac. it is just an(optional) smaller head that fits on to the main unit.
