Cassette Tapes

Do people use tape cassettes these days or even use tape recorders. I am trying t get rid of many tapes one way or the other but no one seems interested even when they free. So shall I bin them and give up.

Whenever I have something like that, spare hangers, empty plant pots etc, I put them out on a table in my front garden and ask people to help themselves to free jumble.

The RNIB still use tape cassettes as well as CD's for recording stories and newspapers, they might be interested.

A charity shop mightn't take them. A local one won't accept films on tape anymore.

The shops stopped selling blank cassette tapes quite a few years ago. With all music now being available to download no one uses them anymore. I know some charity shops do not take video tapes anymore.
