For free... you can use Audiograbber. Will need to download LAME aswell to get mp3s to 128kbps.

a good way is to  download itunes from the www.apple.com website and then select copy from cd. hope that helps.

I got iTunes, and an iPod but I also have a small flash mp3 player I want to use now, and I cant find the location of where my mp3 files were ripped from my CDs.
this might sound stupid, but try copy and pasting your audio files. Sometimes this can work and sometimes it doesnt. You can use windows media player to collect tracks onto your pc, but i am unsure if this doesnot help.

Easiest way is through Mediaplayer. (free download).

For some reason, some people don't like it, but i think it's fine.

Use Media Player as suggested.  Goto Tools --> options and select the rip music tab.  Next choose the setting you want (MP3, WMA etc...) and that is it. Insert your cd select rip and Robert is your Dad's Brother.

Kerplunk, nice one!

Try CDEX.

If you use Media Player and WMA, beware Digital Rights Management (DRM) - switch it off.

If you right click an track and "get info" the file names is given on the general info tab.

The default import folder is a preference you can edit, but by default is MyMusic/iTunes, in your MyDocuments folder.
