Google Windows Position.

When ever I open any Google window , eg Chrome , gmail , igoogle etc
it opens half way down the screen. The only exception is Google earth and that opens in the middle.
It's not much of a problem ,it just means I have to move them up every time which is irritating. Any ideas what the problem is ?
