I've been up since 4.45 am but since then I have finished ironing the school uniforms and done a few chores.
No wind or rain here and it is fairly mild out. It seems strange sitting on the patio with an early morning cuppa.....in the dark lol.
What are your plans for today?

I got that wrong - I have been up since 3.45!
I guess I am too bleary eyed to read the clock
Morning mrs o, a bit later than that here, we've had lunch and getting ready for a hot week coming up by being lazy xx
Question Author
Morning seekerz...nice to know I am not talking to myself lol

Hot week? I hope you are referring to the weather! ;-) Where are you?
I've been awake since about 2am but I have needed to catch up on the guardians beauty pages (am I kidding myself or what)
Probably get up in a bit and make a cuppa then doze for an hour before really starting the day
My New Years resolutions will be starting at the end of the week so I need to make a few plans
Question Author
Morning ric.ror.
What are your new year resolutions?
Definitely the weather, mrs o, we're on the other side of the world, south oz to be precise and they're threatening us with 40+ for each day next week, not my idea of fun !!
To lose weight
To save money
Join a gym
Enrol in an evening class (already failed that one as enrolments were earlier this week)
Same as everyone else in the country I guess - I never start them on 1 Jan though - too much chocolate and cheese to eat
This year I think maybe different - but I thought that last year
Oh well -if at first etc

BTW - this Monday is black Monday so be prepared
Question Author
Well I never knew you were there seekerz, you lucky thing.
I can dubiously boast of having been down under...for a day (I was en route to PNG)
Question Author
ric.ror, good luck with your list!
I was thinking of enrolling on an evening class but there was nothing that appealed to me. What course were you looking at?
I've found a local-ish company that do one day courses and I might sign up for a couple of those. There is one in 3 weeks on upholstery
I always look down the list and think I like the sound of about 90% of the courses
The one in particular I wanted was an art history course but it's in a school I am not too familiar with and would need to ask son no2 to take me (I don't drive)
Maybe take one in the summer to familiarise myself with the area and enroll next January - that's forward planning ;-))
Good Morning All :-) I've put the kettle on,
All clear, calm and strangley 'muted' outside, it smells like snow and the clouds are building up. Wish I was in Oz!
Off to the carboot for bargain hunting later. Hopefully will spot some fabric for my latest patchwork creation (just learning at the mo)
Black Monday Ric.ror? Do I have to stock up on baked beans and bottled water? (sounds ominous)
Morning Mrs. O. xxx seekz xxx and ric. xxx

I only ever make one new years resolution. That is to make no new years resolutions. :o}

seekz yesterday was lovely here in Gloucestershire. I went for a walk along the canal in the sunshine. So did half the county I think!

This morning Jack Frost has laid a white sheet over everything. Some cloud about too, so difficult to make a prediction.
Morning peaspud xxx I like car boots too. Amazing what you can find.

Morning peas, good luck with the fabric hunt

Morning boaty xx
I am with you on the lack on NY resolutions
I don't know anyone that's ever kept them Mrs. O. If I was to make any they would be along the lines of. 'I will continue to enjoy good wine.' etc. :o}
Morning WBM xx car-boots are where I get all my woollies from, 50p for almost new Joules jumpers ain't bad value.
No NY resolutions Mrs O, although I really need to eat whats in the freezer before buying more food lol xx
I love going 'back to school' and have done 'swedish massage' and 'holiday spanish' at a local college on night school courses, It's nice to learn something interesting just for fun
hi Mrs O n all
last nites frost has left us here in the C of A
Peas - no just stock up on the Valium (it's supposed to be the most depressing day of the year - something to do with credit card bills landing)

I'm back to work tomorrow after a week off when I did nothing at all!
That's made me cross with myself too. My excuse was the weather
Question Author
peas, I don't know if you have them where you live, but I get most of my fabric (and some damn good clothes) from jumble sales. Everything costs 20p. I bought a gorgeous pair of brand new Laura Ashley curtains at the last one. I could have used the fabric for all sorts but in the end greed got the better of me and I sold them on Ebay for £30
I once bought a trinket box at a car boot for £2. I sold it for £350. Not a bad investment. :o}
