Emailing Is It Possible To Edit An Email That Has Been Sent To You?

is it possible to edit an email that has been sent to you? i have done this as an experiment and it as worked, but google says different.
I recently sent someone an email but extra text has been added making nasty comments.the sender has returned it with no text in their box.
I would really appreiate any help with with matter.

Yes...you can forward the email to yourself. Once you've clicked on forward you can edit it. Then you can delete the forwarding information. I just tried it...

thanks ummm. I recently sent a email to my son asking how he was, but the mesaage he received had extra text in it.i thought nhe had replied to me saying "why are you being such a burke". but when i checked its actuallypart of my email, so now he thinks i have written this to get him iinto trouble.the email comes from his email, e says he didnt send it .so not only has my email been edited,we also have the issue that someone has been in his email account.but they think ts me messing about.

Your Sent Box should still show the email as it was when you sent it. Have a look at that

Yes...as factor says the original would show it unaltered.

People think it's funny to send things when other people leave their accounts logged in.
