All of a sudden my Disc slot on the front of my Desk Top PC refuses to open. Y?

Sounds like the little rubber belt on the disc drawer drive needs replacing. In the meantime, you should see a tiny hole just below the drawer, in which you can push in an opened out paperclip which should trigger the drawer mechanism to open.

Oops! Just noticed you said "disc slot", and not "disc drawer" so not sure if the same fix would apply.

Thx bravejordy, the drawer seems to have rectified itself all on it's own!?!? Maybe pressing it harder did the trick!
