Hi All

We have broadband with a download limit, as email is included in this limit what I need to know is if I open up my inbox on my yahoo email address and delete the emails instead of opening them does it still count towards my download limit? Reason I ask is I get loads of emails from AB some days and most of the time I have already seen the answers and stuff so i just delete them without opening them. Thanks in advance

There will be a very small amount used but nothing like the size of the email you delete so delete all that junk without openning!
If your yahoo account is an HTTP account, and you don't download it onto your computer (e.g. via outlook/outlook express) opening your emails won't contribute very much towards your download limit - at least no more than typical internet browsing.
On the other hand, if the emails come from a POP3 server and are then downloaded to computer, that will eat up a serious chunk of your limit.

I don't think they are downloaded to pc, I just open em on yahoo, but this week I have had over 250 emails just from AB.  I was getting very worried that my download limit would be reached before end of month.  I just can't keep my big mouth shut over on Chatterbank so its my own fault.  Thanks Loosehead and bobjim

If you're worried about your limits, there are various apps (some free) that will keep an eye on your traffic. Search for "bandwidth monitor" or similar. The one I use (from http://www.lp23.com/ ) is good, but the version I have is an older version with functionality between the free and the "home" one.

FYI pixi - if you change your email address in your profile to a made up one - you (obviously!) won't get any emails from AB.
