video editing on laptops

Hi i have amatrox system on my pc, but have since changed over to a laptop. DOes anyone know of any video capturing and editing equipment that can be used for a laptop. Thanks

Not got much experince in this field but you can get PCMCIA firewire cards (in fact, hte laptop might have this built in). Most new digital camcorders can hook up to firewire. Are you talking about VHS or digital?

There are also a number of USB based capture devices. Most come with some sort of editing software, but you may want to buy a "proper" editing suite if your needs are more demanding.

I love Final Cut Pro but Apple do their own software for the G4 it's called iMovie, very basic in capturing but I'd go with Final Cut Pro
