Installing most apps won't slow your tablet, but some need to run all the time in order to be effective (for example, I have a weather app, a volume monitor, and a couple of other things that need to run continuously). Obviously, the more apps you have actually running, the less responsive your tablet will be. Whether or not you notice it will also depend on what processor you have in your tablet. If its one of those cheap Chinese jobbies, then it's probably pretty slow to start with.

You have to separate a App or Program that is installed and one that is running.

An installed program that is NOT running will not slow a computer or tablet down.

An installed programs that IS running will slow a computer or tablet down a little bit.

The impact will depend on how fast your CPU is and how much memory (RAM memory) you have.

If you have a powerful tablet with a good CPU with lots of RAM memory you may not notice it.

If you have a "cheap" tablet with a slow CPU and not much memory than having a few programs running will slow it down.
