Phone Number Of My Ipad Sim Card?

How do I find the phone number. Of the sim car in my iPad4?
I have gone to Settings / General / About but alongside Cellular Data Number it says "Unknown"

Does your ipad have a phone facility?
It's probably a data only sim card.

I've just flicked through a couple of ipad4 reviews and neither of them mentioned it could be used as a 'phone.

I need to know the number on the Sim card of both my iPad and my daughter's so I can see which is which in order that I can determine relative PAYG costs.

How about reboot your iPad? Make sure the SIM is inserted correctly.

I thought the joke about the iPad was that it can do everything that an iPhone can.....except make calls!

It hasn't got a phone number. You can't ring another phone from your iPad (unless you use a third party app such as Skype which still would not give your sim a phone number).
