Thanks SO much. It's an HP Photosmart C4780. It was printing earlier this evening and then stopped, the paper just continually goes in and comes straight out. Have tried cleaning the rollers, turning off and on again and then printing a status report which I did via the printer itself (the menu on the screen). It printed that with no issues.
check the number of pages the printer's software is supposed to be printing. I don't know why, but often some people have trouble that the page is set to 101 instead of 1.
Sometimes my printer can do that because I've not put in the correct number of pages to print or number the pages so it can't print anything just puts the paper through.
Have you tried opening a completely new document and typing a sentence or two in there and printing it like that just to see if it works? Are the ink cartridges low or not quite sitting correctly? Just trying to throw some ideas in the ring to see if you can sort it out...really annoying isn't it when things don't work as they should.
my HP printer (different model) has decided it doesn't want to print jpegs, possibly because I don't have glossy paper in it; I have to turn them all into Word documents and then they print without trouble.
