Did Pink Floyd do there own version of War of the Worlds and was it used for the movie.

Not as far as I know. Jeff Wayne released a concept album based on the book, which has just been remastered and re-released.

Thanks Starman,   I just found it confusing as my son has many pink floyd music on his PC and one just happened to be called The War of the Worlds same sound but played with guitars rather than keyboard like jeff wayne, i played it and it sounded really good with the guitars etc.

No Pink Floyd did not do it -are you confusing it with the original, because this version is a revamped re-release.
