Ipod Drag And Drop Not Working

I have an earlier model of ipod, prob 3rd generation, which I really only use during the summer for beach purposes, (I'm an optimist). but I don't seem to be able to drag and drop from my pc's mp3 library like I normally can. I have the manually manage my music ticked. Any help appreciated

Aside from msing sure that itunes can see the folder you're trying to drag from, I'm not much help I'm afraid. Sorry.
Hopefully the boffins will be along soon to help.

First port of call:

Restart iTunes, restart iPod, then work from there.
iTunes has been a little slow of late, give it a couple of minutes after opening it.
