Free Desktop Email Viewer - Recommedations Please.

I have tried Zimbra - but it went a bit weird and wouldnt send messages, and am just trying EmailTray, but i'm not sure i like it - because it puts all the emails from all accounts together and tries to prioritise them for me - and fails.
its also throwing all the spam into the inbox.

has anyone used any others and liked them?

Thunderbird, as recommended above, is the 'sister program' to the Firefox web browser. Putting aside the Microsoft offerings (Outlook Express, Windows Live Mail, etc) it's by far the most popular email client in the world, and deservedly so.
