Anyone got this? Is it worth the money?

My 14 year old son has asked for it for his birthday, if all he's going to do is paste peoples heads into donkeys and whatnot then I don't think it's worth it. Can someone give me a brief overview.

Many thanks for any replies.

Hi rockyracoon
Have a look at some freebies, especially The Gimp which is very good. There is also a reasonable Online photo editor called Lunapic, worth a look. Try googling freeware for photo editing. Hope this helps.

Paintshop pro is much cheaper for the same thing.

Thanks for your answers, I'll have a look.
Tell him have gave another prezzie if he'll accept the free alternative to Photoshop. It's called GIMP and is extremely similar to Photoshop (because it's actually modelled on Photoshop):

Both Photoshop and GIMP have quite steep learning curves. If you download GIMP, I strongly recommend downloading the user manual as well:

At the moment I'd stick to the freebies and if he retains an interest then look at either Photoshop or Paintshop pro.

They both have quite steep learning curves to get the best out of them.

Cheers all, this is last chance saloon present wise, it's the only thing he can think of apart from a model kit of the Titanic, which is sitting under my bed waiting for his bday.

Looks like I've got some convincing to do, thanks again.
