what is 02 like as a mobile phone service provider?

I've not had any problems ff. been with them for about 2 years.
I did hear that the company had been bought out by Sky, but I'm not sure.

I have just joined o2 after being with orange for many years and I must say that the service is neither good or bad? I live on the top of Exmoor and i get service so i am pleased about that. I wold say they offer more than other mobile providers in the way of perks and i do like there online billing(very easy to understand)

I've been with o2 for years and they are brilliant. In all that time I only lost service once (for a few days due to transmitter problems) and they have me a £25.00 compensation against my next bill.

Been with them since they started, and I still cant get a better deal anywhere, coverage is fine, service not a problem.

they mobile phone side may get even better as they announced yesterday that they are selling their B/band side of things to sky to concentrate on their core business

I have been with this company for nearly 20 years, back when they were called BT.

When I first bought a Mobile, the digital network wasn't really up and running, so I went for an analogue phone, and then changed over to a digital one a few years later. At the time BT gave the best coverage over the UK as a whole, slightly better than Vodaphone, which was the only other provider.

Be careful about being misled by some companies....Tesco for instance use O2 for their network.

In all my time with O2, I have never been let down, and have always changed phones every 2-3 years.

Beware that O2 are just about to be taken over by Sky, so perhaps things might change !

Don't forget that if you decide to go with another network, you can easily keep your number. Years ago, you had to get a new number, which was a pain in the arse to say the least.

Small correction to previous post...apparently its the home phone and Broadband services that are being taken over by Sky, not the Mobile service.
