Why is it that when on Answerbank the 'submit' is greyed out so not allowing a comment to be made? When switching to Firefox with the same comment no problem.

Not on here it isn't, and I'm running on IE9 - no problems at this end..

So far :)
It changes from grey to black as soon as you type something in the message box.
^^^exactly the same as it does on Firefox.
Yep same on mine but not on Google Chrome.
Try typing something.... black is now the new grey.... Ta-Dah!
Could be your java script settings. If you have java disabled in IE then it won't let the button show.

This was typed in IE...no luck...switched to Firefox now OK!

On mine it doesn't...the message has already been typed in ready for submit. Maybe its the version being used...I'm on IE8
Only a suggestion, but were you logged in on IE when you tried?

Thanks problem solved. I reinstalled JAVA as suggested but no good. In desperation reloaded latest IE8 and after a reboot seems OK. I suppose it must have had something to do with IE browser as Firefox browser did work.
Have you pasted it into the box after writing it elsewhere ? I used to get the greyed out button and then found I needed to actually type something in the box before the button ungreyed.
ok glad it's solved.
