Photo file in Windows xp

How can I make the 'Thumbnails' view the default view in the 'Photos' file please. When I change the from 'List' to 'Thumbnails' it works OK but when I return to the file it is back as a 'List' again.

Try this When you open the folder - view as thumbnails as you do and there is a tab under the Tools > folder options ,> view - you can alter this to show all folders as current one - this "should" keep as thumbnails when you next open.
