email opening in word document

My windows live email has recently started opening links in emails as a word document, I have checked the file association and is set to windows live so not sure what the problem is. Any ideas or information plz

The association for links should be set to your browser, not to Windows Live

to set Default Programs for various file types in windows
click on the start Start button, and then clicking Default Programs.
