Is this anxiety?
2 Answers
Hi. This past few weeks when I’m lying in bed my heart ‘pounds’, it doesn’t beat overly fast, I can just feel it pounding as if across my whole body. Also on waking I seem to have what I can only describe as a tremble, I feel it mostly in my hands, lower legs and upper body and it takes around 10/20 mins to settle down once I’ve got up. I also sometimes have this ‘pounding’ immediately upon waking, but not for long. More recently, I’ve started feeling this tremble in my upper body even when sat relaxed – it comes and goes in waves throughout the day.
I had some blood tests a few months back which ruled out diabetes, as I thought maybe it’s my sugar levels, and 3 yrs ago I was put on flouxetine for depression (other than this period, I’ve never suffered it before) I came off these a year ago and have been absolutely fine since. I’ve not had a good year in terms of loss, family and money problems, but I’m working through all these and I don’t feel as if I’m in some ‘black hole’ like I did the last time. Shortly before being diagnosed with depression, I recall suffering anxiety then, but it was more sort of frantic and panicked feelings over the slightest thing, quite different to this. Can anyone advise please? Thanks
