At the moment I use GU 10 - 50W Halogen bulbs for my kitchenette and am wondering if the Feit GU 10 LED bulb 35W will give me the same as the former bulb?

Could you enlighten an OAP about this?

Many thanks, in advance, to all who answer

The Feit GU10 LED is actually 4W and is claimed to be equivalent in brightness to a 35W halogen G10, so clearly it's not going to be as bright as a 50W G10.

The 50W halogen provides approx 290 lumens compared to 179 for the LED
you not saving anything worth bothering about power wise (15 watts)and the led bulb will cost very MUCH more than your halogen one
I changed my 4 x 50w gu10 bulbs in the bathroom for 4 x 72 led gu10's. even though the bathroom is not as bright, i now have a nice, crisp blue/white light.

I would therefore say that your proposal would be way too dark....maybe upping the amount of LED's would help.
You need 7w warm white for an equivalent to 50w. They now last around 20,000 hours so work out much more economical.
Fitting these all the time, Grandis. I use ones that give out light measured at 320 lumens............ roughly equivalent to 5ow halogen GU10 .........
