As part of my course, I have a DVD/CD. I like to print off the transcripts rather than listening to it all on line. But all the files are pdf and I cannot work out how to get them into Word.

go to zamzar and convert them
If you want to create/edit/convert/print PDF files, you could try Nitro Reader. It's not something I've used, but there is a review and download link at http://www.softpedia....itro-PDF-Reader.shtml
Trying to open a PDF with Word is like trying to undo a bolt with a screwdriver.
You need to use pdf file to word file converter to open them in word document, from where you can edit as required, for this you can use Kernel for pdf to word tool.
