Trying to delete a file in Internet Explorer

I downloaded a file from Youtube and added it to my favourites before I went on holiday. When I came back my laptop is not working properly and I think it is to do with the file I dowloaded. I tried to go back and do a system restore but cannot. I am now trying to delete the file from my favourites but when I select delete I get a revolving dougnut for a while but nothing happens thdn it stops. Any suggestions on how to delete this file?
