skype - audio only

how can i ensure that i only have audio enabled on this?

i am new to it but dont want to answer a call and suddenly have my picture on their screen and have people see me or my house looking a mess or whatever!

Click on Video settings
Put a dot next to no-one
Save.

or, like me, don't have a webcam.

the webcam is built in... so far it just 'works' automatically when i turn skype on - so didnt want it to just 'fire up' without my knowledge.
