The application you use should have a facility for importing messages.

Assuming you use/used Windows XP and Outlook (Express) look in the File tab on the toolbar.

Select the application you want to import from (Outlook?) and then navigate to where the files are stored on the old disk.

The location would be along the lines of...

D:\Documents and Settings\Your Username\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{A76EEF94-8BF2-42DE-AC2A-4CF8BCB41A14)}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

(the parts in red not necessarily being the same as on your disk).

If my explanation is not relevant to your needs please give more details to enable a specific solution.

... I also assumed you've installed your old disk into the new machine.

you'll have to let us know what email software you use.

If you're using MS Outlook, search your old drive for *.pst it should find a file called something like mailbox.pst or outlook.pst.

you can import emails, contacts etc from this file
