My thanks to Buenchico for a prompt and erudite reply. I did a Malware scan (1 hr 47 mins) and this showed nil content. Another warning last night (during a game of Internet Checquers). I entered task manager and then Processes. System Idle ranged from 96 - 98 (today that dropped to 50) and ie.explore (internet) showing 50. All other categories were nil. Is there a next move. With thanks Brian

There are complaints all over the web about these warnings. Frankly, IMHO, the performance monitor is just a gimmick. You can turn it off.
