Renaming Icons On iPad

So I've bought this iPad.

Is it possible to change the names of the icons on the main screen? They come with dopey names.

What names in particular? Im not sure you can change the name of the apps.

you can change the name of bookmarks at the point where you "add bookmark" it gives you the opportunity to edit the name.

JJ you must have iPad3....the posh new one.........my iPad 2 causes questions by calling it....CALCULATOR.

I don't know which iPad it is. I just got it from the Apple shop a few days ago.

Just ones like PCalc Lite.

I dont think you can change its name Im afraid. unless you download another calculator app called "calculator"

No you cannot change the name of an app. There are many calculator apps so they have to be different. If you really are having trouble finding it, you can make a folder and name that 'Calculator'. But that will slow you down as you will have to open a folder before launching the app.
