Every time I try to write an e-mail Silerlight appears on the screen, an the box freezes it won't let me allow or decline or even click the red x in the top right corner. I have to open task master to cancel it. What can I do to stop it? It never used to do this until recently. Thanks in advance.

You've not told us how you're trying to create an email. Are you using an email client (such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Live Mail or Thunderbird?). If so, which one?

Or are you using a web-based email system. If so, which one and with which browser?

We'll await your reply but in the meantime it might be worth trying a scan with the free version of Malwarebyte'sAnti-Malware:

(Malware can cause all sorts of strange problems)

Alternatively using System Restore (to take your computer's registry back to a date before the problem first occurred) might well provide a solution.
